legal?

i read a post in the psychedelic experience and someone mentioned how they should not be worried about police when tripping because it is legal to be on acid, so long as it is not in your possession.

i believe this to be completely false, but there could be some truth to it.

wanna see what the pubbers think to put the question to end completely.

yea if its in your system your in possession, but lsd tests are expensive. anyone actually get tested for lsd when they got arrested?

You can't test for LSD without major surgery... a spinal tap actually. Was just talking about this with my neighbor who is a technician at the local hospital. He stands there all night and checks all the drugs tests in that day.

Its not legal to be on LSD, but the consequences are minor. If you have no drugs on you, there is little they can do but detain and ticket you if you're being a public nuisance. Cops are nothing to worry about on a trip. they're just people doin their job, and they're not going to go out of their way to fuck with you. just don't run naked into the street throwing oranges at people.

lol my buddy tried to swim away from the cops once while he was on LSD... too bad he was in the middle of the basketball court in the park... they gave him a shot at the hospital and i think there was a ticket involved

There's a law called "Internal Possession" that people here go to jail for. It's like being drunk in public, you can get arrested for it here.

Yeah that was my reaction too but it's true... that's why acid is so big with guys in the service(esp Navy) cause it's just not safe or cost effective to test for it. It's doesn't get in your hair and it doesn't get in your pee... you can look it up.

I don't advise it thought LSD is only fun for a bit.

I'm not sure if your neighbor/technician is just misinformed herself, or if she was having some fun w/ you, but its certainly possible to test for LSD w/out a spinal tap. Nobody is doing spinal taps to test for LSD, I guarantee it. This is an urban myth.

can you find a site? This information wasn't just from him but many friends who served in the military.... and when my parents tried to find an LSD test kit 8 years ago or so. IDK maybe there is a new technique but a spinal tap has traditionally been the only way to tell... which is why no one EVER does it and you can only find out during an autopsy.

Oh no I agree that no one is doing spinal taps to test for LSD... that's just craziness. My point is that there is no accurate test and that your spinal fluid is the only place you can look at to tell. Ever hear of someone hurting their back just right and getting a flashback? (mind you this doesn't happen with casual users) I have some old hippy friends that will tell ou all about it. :-)

Well that article is certainly interesting and I'm glad to see that someone has figured it out but they have not been doing it for "years". My information must be out of date and I am wrong on that point.

However, I'm going to go look up this "LSD is not stored in the spine" thing. People have known about it for 40 years? LSD is what... barely 50 years old? 45? How do you explain the spinal flashback phenomenon? It's well documented that back injuries can cause flashbacks. I've watched my dad go through it. I've spoken with doctors about it. I don't do acid anymore because of it.
