any comments on myco-bags?

Hi, first timer here. I ordered a myco bag along with a syringe to try and make it simple for my first time. Was wondering if anybody has used these. Seems too easy. Do I put the entire contents of the syringe in these bags or only 2-3cc? Also, how much dry weight do you usually get out of one bag?

You probably want to stick to 2-3cc. Going as high as 5 might increase colonization speed. Save the rest of the syringe and try it on some PF style jars, get another mycobag, or if your first try doesn't work out, you may end up trying it again on the same bag.

wrong answer bro... dont use over 2.5 cc per bag.. i ve tried up to 5cc and it seems to give me wet spot bacterium everytime. use 2 to 2.5 cc of solution... tape box shut and incubate for a couple weeks. Pull out of box and kinda shake bags around to mix up the mycelium with the substrate and put back in box another 10 days or so. Hopefully by that time they will be 80 to 90 percent colonized and you just open the box flaps and put box where they can get some light and just wait til you see the pins a poppin.

hi i got a bag and i injected it with a syringe but my problem is i didnt shake the spore syringe so i have no sign of any thing its been a good week or 2 can i still use this bag ?

cbull, I had the same problem but my syringe I innoculated with was not viable. I re-innoculated it with another syringe and it worked fine. Just make sure there are not any signs of contams before you do so.
