Yes, and that is why the tunnel-vision that lead to in the invasion and mismanagement of Iraq has been such a disaster. The Bush administration was blind with their rabid desire to invade Iraq.

As for libertarians supporting the Iraq war, how exactly does that strike harmony with the non-aggression and voluntary and small government principles of libertarians? Last I checked, seems like the Iraq war was a huge government endeavor full of pork and taxation and bureaucracy and aggression. The invasion of Iraq was a huge statist operation. Seems like if a libertarian wanted a free Iraq, they privately raise arms and funds for Iraq dissidents and not rely on Big Government, no?

according to that libertarian hack Neil Bortz. Bortz has become a republican with a few fringe ideas... i dont think he even holds anymore sway over the libertarian party. Especially since he went and backed the Iraqwar so vehemently.

What notion of Libertarianism do you guys think encompasses passivism. That's just flat out incorrect. Isolationism is not Libertarian nor is bend over and take it in the ass passivism. Sorry, kiddies, but you don't get to make nonsensical definitions out of whole cloth. Libertarian does not mean suicidal appeaser asshole. Defense is a tenet of libertarianism, it is one of the few bona fide government responsibilities. Unlike public education.
