Iv been recently listening to a 70's radio station on yp.shoutcast.com, and really enjoy the tunes. So whats some good 70's rock to chill out to?

led zep, black sabbath, pink floyd are obvious ones. Hmm, I don't much about years, but I love a lot of classic rock.

Cream, April Wine, Nazareth, BTO is fucking sweet, Kansas, Trooper, CCR, umm loads more, but can't really think of them all.

I guess a good question is what type of '70's music' do you want?
blues/rock, folk/bluegrass, psychedelic/progressive, the 70s was a whole lot of things... I listen to most of these styles out of the 70's, but if i had to choose a style, it'd be a tossup between the blues and psychedelic/progressive catergories.

any of these albums would probably be a good starting point...

The doors- LA Woman, Without a safety net (from the box set),waiting for the sun
Uriah Heep- Magician's Birthday, Look at yourself, Demons and Wizards
The Beatles - abbey road (not really 70's but great nonetheless)
Yes - fragile, tales from topographic oceans, yessongs, (their cover of simon & garfunkels america rocks)
Pink floyd - animals, meddle. live at pompeii(dvd)
Led zeppelin - I, II, III, IV (zoso), houses of the holy
The who - tommy
Janis Joplin - cheap thrills, I got the ole cozmic blues again mama
Styx - equinox, pieces of eight, grand illusion
Creedence Clearwater Revival - cosmos factory
Todd rundgren's utopia - oops! wrong planet
Jimi hendrix - electric ladyland, are you experienced

like phred added, I captain beyond too...

I prefer whole albums as opposed to specific songs for the most part.... they were compiled like that for a reason...
