I'm a Jets fan.

For my first two seasons of watching the NFL I didn't have a team. Last year I watched almost all the Giant and Jet games...and jumped on the Giants playoff bandwagon even though Eli Manning is a dumb hick and Plaxico Burress is a whiny bitch and Shockey's tattoo is supremely gay.

But it was just this past weekend that I realized the Jets are my brand of football. Everything about 'em suits me, including the shitty quality of CBS's coverage of their games. They feel old school, straight to the crappy oval logo on the helmets. I like that I get to watch a team being reconstructed as I get into them more and more now too. And looking at their schedule, and their record thus far, I have to say optimistically they could hit 10-6, though 9-7 is more likely, and something less like 8-8 isn't out of the question obviously.

I have to say, it feels damn good to have a team finally.

I've always liked the Jets, for some reason.

I think it's mostly due to the unis.

And Leon Washington starts for them and is a badass after nearly being ruined by Jeff Bowden's dumbass coaching.

I don't really have a team, pro football-wise, though I always root for the hometown Bucs, and the Jags, sometimes.

Jet fans are the dumbest fans of all time. Do you know why they have that J-E-T-S chant? It's for spelling practice. The only reason they have any fans at all is that the Giants are sold out until the next millenium and the remaining Neanderthals need a shiny object to drool over. They don't even know what state they play in (neither do the other retards but at least they have their own stadium). New York has one professional football team. ONE. Sure, the city sucks and is dying a slow death, but at least they've got the honesty to stay in the state they CALL home.

Another example of Jet fan retardo. I was at the MNF game at the NJ Meadowlands about 18 or so years ago when I made my friends take all of their Bills shit off. I told them that these people are vicious retards and it would get ugly. Well, knock me over with a feather but when the Bills went up something like 28-0 by halftime the yahoos went nuts and started fires with the great paper Jets hats they gave out. I'll never forget the security centipede going from altercation to altercation. It was beautiful. Ever since, they don't sell beer in the second half on Monday night. Fucking retards.
