how long will an open bottle of wine last?

i opened a bottle of wine about 2 weeks ago, and had a glass then put it back in the fridge.

now im wondering if its still good? i dont usually drink wine so im not sure...


its california Chardonay if anyone is interested :wine:

i don't think it would harm you (did you put the cork back in?)... but i don't think it would taste all that good either...

Its prolly expensive salad dressing by now. In the future, keep the cork in, store it on its side to keep the cork moist. I dont think u need the fridge to store, only cool darkness.

should still be ok to drink, you need to vacuum it down, oxydation causes it to go bad

it should be good man. smell it and taste it. if it smells bad or tastes bad then its no good. likely it'll be good tho.

Depends on how many phosphates are in it. Just try a sip sometime or warn your company of how long it's been open so they can sip a little. put the date of opening on it

yeah, it still smells good, and i just called one of my friends who usually drinks wine, since the cork was still in and it was in the fridge, it looks good :smile:

now, who to share my bottle of wine with...

You can get one of those vaccuum thingees that pump out all of the air out of a wine bottle. That extends the life (and flavor) of wine.
