have you told her this, you should if you havent...

Actually, in all the riff-raff of my dad's addiction, I had a good talk with her. I cleaned up my own air, she cleaned up her's and neither of us have any hard feelings for one another.

It wasn't fair to her either. My opinion of her was altered before I even met her. This was due to my Mom, telling us, because we were so young, what to think of her. So, for years, until I finally learned the whole story behind my Mom and Dad splitting up, I thought everything was my Step-Mom's fault.

We've basically decided to clean the slate and start anew, giving each other a fair chance.

I think the reason we get along so well now, is that I'm older, (for one), and she's a year younger than my eldest sister. So we have a lot in common aside from my Dad.

I love Her. And I tell her everytime I see her. That's just the way it is.

You just can't take for granted the importance of family.

Hey now, Masters of the Universe was a fun cartoon for it's days when kids cartoons were mostly an utter bore. But yes, the homosexual innuendo was overwhelming  I recently downloaded some old digitally remastered episodes and its downright inconceivable that that stuff got aired :rotfl:

thats just the way it should be, your family is what matters the most, my mothers
father had been heavily influeced by his last wife, enough so that he didnt see
any of his kids from his previous marriage, I know my mom, my aunt and uncles
all desired a better relationship with him but his wife wouldnt have it.

Thats why its so important that these stories are being told. The Wayback machine, Google, Yahoo, Echelon and God knows who are logging the entire internet, so future generations yet to come are listening in.

I don't know anything about my family..
I know my dad was adopted as a baby, so ive never had a 'that side' of the family.
His adopted parents died before i was born.

So my surname isn't actually my real family name,, i don't know what that is.
I haven't seen my dad since i was a kid and my mum never talks about him, if she says anything it's always negative.

I had two brothers but one died in a motorbike accident when i was young.
My other brother is gay and i haven't spoke to him for over 3 years due to events in my past.

Ive only ever met my uncle/auntie/cousins two times in my life.
My mum fell out with her brother many years ago because of their dads new wife ( my mums real mum died when my mum was 18 ).
Because of that ive grown up isolated from all the family that i do have.

Both my mums parents died before i was born..

So basically there's just me and my mum, and my brother that i don't get along with at all..
My mum's cool but she's dieing from emphysema so things are tough..

Well shit, I can't not do it after reading all those.

My dad raised himself up pretty high in the army, then served in the secret service, if I wasn't so stoned I'd remember which presedent he protected. He speaks about 9 languages. Fantastic business man, his lastest job was taking over failing companies and turning a profit. He can't handle his personal life well at all.

My mom dated George W. (shudder) when he was up in Alaska working with the pipeline. Thankfully she got past that one.

My grandmother(Dad's side) When my grandfather was at war, my grandmother won shooting and golf tournaments in several states. Taught me how to shoot, gamble, golf, and watch football.

Grandfather (Dad's side) Was in Air Force during WW2, rescued American soldiers trapped behind lines in France I believe. Later went to Japan and saw ground combat I believe as he has a collection of Japanese swords that I think came from actual soldiers.

Don't know much about my grandparents on my mom's side except that my grandfather was on a poster for some kind of gun during WW1.

My paternal grandmother had encephalitis when she was a child (at least, this is the story I was told). She survived, but the doctor told her that she should never try to have children or she could die. She ignored the doctor's advice and had 3 kids (including my father). She then died of heart failure a few days after giving birth to number 4. My dad tells me that after she died, for a long time, my grandfather would just go outside at night after putting the kids to bed and lay out in the grass staring at the stars.
