What are some good cities for hippies to live in? I just moved from Sacramento, CA, which is full of yuppies, to the hippy paradise of Portland OR. What other places are hippy-friendly?

Portland is cool n all. But Burlington vermont rocks pretty hard. So does Asheville NC.

the big tomato has its hippies, but compared to Portland, OR...yeah not many. Berkeley still remains the leader as far as I'm concerned

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

I'll be at Chicago. I would go to Ratdog in Milwaukee but WSP is playing the same night in Milwaukee. Can't wait to see them with Jimmy Herring and they're playing a much cooler venue than where Bob will be playing.

We will have to meet up again! And lemme know if you need a place to crash after the 10/21 show.

A former mining ghost town now hippie commune. It's a really cool place, built on the side of mountain about an hour and a half North of Phoenix.

Also I hear Bisbee, Arizona near the Mexican border but haven't been there in forever.
