bwa bwa bwhaaaaat!?

I thought this was job hunting 101. yeesh...

Well, I've never had to make one.  Dog grooming for Petsmart doesn't really require a resume.  Just a dog to groom.

Is dog grooming the one and only job you've had in your life? Even if it is you should still have a resume, you can list soft skills that you're capable of. You know how to use a computer and can type, you have a car and license, etc. It's a comprehensive list of your capabilities in life, I'd get on that if I were you and keep updating it.

Yeah, sounds like I better.  I've had about 7 jobs in my lifetime...including customer service, food serving, data entry, saleswoman...hmm...and a few others.

Get a Van, get some stickers or a paint job that says grooming on wheels or something. Put an add in the papper, then drive around and do house calls for dog grooming. I bet you could make 50 bucks a dog doing house calls.

Well, I'm gonna see if they'll give me the time of day on the phone to ask about the job and what not and then graduate to in person stuff later.

hah, yeah, that's what my husband is always saying. He was constantly trying to get me to go into business for myself.

I just really hate dog grooming. It's the most stressful thing I've ever done. I saw blood and awful events daily.

There's a solid idea. Work for yourself and do what you love to do. You could probably get a government small business loan or something if you looked into it.

See with grooming on your own. You don't have to deal with breaders. Just women or gay guys with their silly fluffy dogs. Not to mention you can take long lunches. Then if you don't like one dog or owner, you don't have to go back.

You could work out agreements, like weekly dog services, for a monthly bill.
1 dog 4 times a month can make you 150 to 250 a month. I bet you could service 10 to 20 dogs in a day. You could seriously make some good cash.

Out where i work, i see this groomer on wheels daily. I am sure she is making great great great cash.

if you want a new skill here are some quick suggestions of in demand careers:

2 year nurse: gets paid only a little less than a regular RN
EMT: 1-3 years depending on the level you want to complete, quick fast paced exciting career
6-12 months, massage therapy: good pay and the ladies will love you
baking and pastry certificate: 6 months to two years depending on the program. in demand and fun fun fun
underwater welding: 2 years and you get paid A LOT
2 year computer tech degrees: can always find a job

These are just some things I've looked into in the past for quick skills if you don't want to do a 4 year college..good luck

Underwater welding is serious cash!

My buddy does it and gets over 80, 000 a year now. he is my age too.

But then again he is on an oil rig for two months at a time or undewater in a pressure tank for 4 days at a time. I mean if you don't mind hanging out with the same 15 guys day n day out for a month or two straight it's really good money!

Update: I'm waiting for a call back from Clean water and the other non profit place...

Next: I'm going to eat lunch and then drive to a well known enthobotanical shop in Austin called, Garden's of the Ancients.

I love that place...working there would be fantastic but I'm more interested in any information they can give me about getting involved with plants.

I wouldn't mind baking bread.  But you would never get me to make a pastry :snub:

I want to have a sign out front that would say

"bake the bakers" :1up:
