I guess it would be pretty cool if there were priests who lived off gummy worms and were constantly hopped op on massive loads of sugar. Would make for some interesting sermons.


Edit: I'm assuming a spelling test is not a requirement to be a janist priest?

You have to be one tough person to be able to make it out on the streets.. finding a place to sleep, being able to wake up and not feel shitty or in pain, finding food, drink, etc. Finding happiness seems like it would be quite a struggle, especially when you have to fight hard just for the other bare necessities.

i don't know anything about being or becoming a jainist priest, but you seem to be in the right place (having nothing & living on the streets) to find that the next step you take is blessed. walk lightly and bend not a blade of grass.

btw - I was "stuck" (so to speak) in the same position as you on Peachtree in Atlanta after having been ripped off and stranded 37 years ago.

Jains are horrible people. the fuckers are like PETA meets pro-life fanatics.... they take in cattle and strays which need to be put out of their misery but make them suffer a useless and most painful life.

they even carry brooms everywhere to sweep away mites that they could possibly step on.

that's not the point, janists can't eat anything that causes the organism to die.

so they can eat fruit, berries, nuts, any vegetable that can be harvested without killing the plant.

no potatoes, carrots, radishes, etc. because to harvest the plant you have to kill it.

but apples, oranges, grapes, etc. are ok because you don't kill the plant when you harvest the fruit.
