Second attempt at Atlanta trip report!**PICS**

Okay, I wrote a whole report, last night and forgot to put a subject on it and I had to go back. Well, I accidentally went back twice and went forward and the whole thing was gone!! Man, I was pissed!! Anyway, I am gonna try and do tis one correctly... :grin:

Well, Danksistah and I were going to go camping for her birthday, last Friday and then go to Atlanta on Saturday. We didn't get up until almost 1pm and DS hadn't even packed yet, so we weren't ready to go until around 3. We decided to just call our friends that were already in Atlanta, at a hotel, and tell them that we were going to go ahead and join up with them. I was waiting, not so patiently, for Dank to finish getting ready.

Well, we finally get on the road. It was a beautiful day for a road trip! :sun:

We took a few pics of the road while we were getting closer to Georgia.

I spied the sunset, in the mirror.

I will have more pictures of the road, later.
We finally get to Atlanta and meet up with our friends at the Renaissance Hotel.

Our room was on the 24th floor with a stunning view off the balcony!! :eek:

We didn't have tickets for Friday, so we hung out on Shakedown and drank a ton of Fat Tires!! Here is a pic of the top of Shakedown. :gd_icon:

We got drunk as hell and wandered back to our room, where we ate turkey blts and chicken. :smile:

I, during all of this, threw a chicken leg off of the balcony and, my friends say, that there was a bright, blue flash and the power in the building across the street went out!! I think that it was just coincidence, but who knows? :smirk:

I wasn't hungover, at all!! Which is a feat in and of itself, because I was hammered!!!

The next day, we chill and eat at some Carribean restaurant that was kind of bland and crappy. :undecided:

Then, we start to get ready for the show. I am feeling kind of tired, but feel good, for the most part. I ate a chocolate that I made. We all dose up, except for Dank. She didn't want to trip, because she likes nature tripping and she already has anxiety attacks before going into public gatherings. We are already feeling the onset of our trip when we decide to leave for the show.

We go straight into the Fox, watching the unique crowd that only Widespread Panic can gather. The Fabulous Fox is an experience, all by itself!! This place is like a castle and/or a mosque, on the inside. We wander around for a little while, gawking at everything and everyone, until it is about time for the band to begin. We get to our seats and we are surrounded by some crazy looking peeps!! There, it looked like a cultural vomit spot, all around us. Almost every type of personality was to be seen at this show.

Panic put on a phenomenal show! My legs were kind of cramping, because the seats were kind of close together. I couldn't really get my groove going for too long without hitting something or almost getting an elbow from this guy that was in front of me. He had some kind of growth on the side of his neck that was really bugging me out!! :eek:

Dank said it was a bandage, but it looked like a hairy tumor, to me! Anyway, the show was definitely not a letdown. I had a fractal vision trip for hours after the show. It was raining after we left the Fox and so we didn't ever get the guy and girl's address that we hung out with the night before that had the Fat Tire. :frown:

Maybe we will see them again, one day! :sun:

We strolled down Shakedown one more time and all we saw was some random tripping guy that was trying to freestyle on a kareoke machine. He was really bad at it, too! :whoa:

We made our way back to the Hotel, where we sat and talked about whatever, for the rest of the night. We finally crash at around 5am and got up at 11:30, because checkout was at noon. The whole weekend seemed to fly by so fast!! I have more pictures, but I have to wait to be able to upload more. :mad2:

All in all, it was a great time with some great people! :heart:
