Martha Plastic.
    #6003207 -

I bought a different version of the martha closet. Its the same conceptually (although it has rollers lol).
I was wondering what the bottom of the martha looks like. Ive heard that it is a meshlike material? Because mine is solid plastic all the way around.

What should I do for exhaust on this puppy? Some holes covered with tyvek or what?

Just holes, no tyvek. You want lots of air exchange. What kind of door does it have? You can probably just leave it partly open. I have a home made greenhouse with two slits cut from floor to ceiling, plus a few other holes big enough to stick my hands through for ventilation. A cool mist can easily keep up with the humidity requirements of a well ventilated greenhouse, and the more air exchange, the better.

I even have a small air conditioner ducted into my greenhouse for use with cold weather species that require cold shocking. Right now, I'm maintaining 58F and 90% humidity with two coolmists running three minutes on, three minutes off.

You are telling me that filtered air in the terrarium is THAT unimportant? You dont use h202 either hey?

I suppose this thing is going to be in a closed closet and I have a hepa air purifier in there . . so actually your ideas dont sound too shabby.

However with that much ventilation one could almost use no coolmist at all? the air exchange would be there:

Yes, I'm saying filtered air in a fruiting chamber is unimportant. A greenhouse should have plenty of air exchange, and you don't need the hepa. My coolmists sit on a lower shelf in the greenhouse. When I'm not using the refrigeration system, they only run one minute on/six minutes off to maintain proper humidity.

Yes, I use peroxide. . . In the humidifier to keep it from getting nasty inside. I'd use it on cobweb if it ever develops, but in a properly vented greenhouse, cobweb doesn't have a chance.

Hmm , I like it!
Is some sort of large particle filter recommended in these holes?

What do you think of the ultrasonic only ideas?

Ok, stupid me.
Its mine that has the meshy net bottom. Just looks like a polyester extrusion sort of material.

Does the martha have this also?
If not, will this suffice for air exchange?
Maybe a fan inside?

You will not get enough fresh air exchange without something to move the air. A cool mist is definately your best option for a greenhouse. They are fairly cheep (especially if purchased second hand) and worth every penny. I really see no reason considering other options (such as a fan) when the cool mist works so perfectly.

Sorry . . yeah I am using the combo . . US and CM. I was just tossing some ideas around with just using US. Idea intruiges me.

With that setup is the mesh bottom enough air exchange? Will the air pushed in my the cool mist be enough to change out the air through the bottom?

One would imagine . . . guess I have to just hook it up and see.
