when i was in elementary school, everyone was printed by the police, they claimed it was to be used in case of a child abduction...but im sure there were other motives as well.

I have a skin condition where I get little bubbles underneath the top layer of my skin. I used to get bothered by them, so I'd literally chew that section of skin until it broke the bubble inside. Thanks to this, there's massive portions of my fingerprints which are perfectly flat stretches of skin.

You can burn them off, or also use a razor blade and slowly scrape them off. Both are going to hurt like a bitch. Another possibility is to take some elmer's glue, dip your fingertip in it, and let it dry completely. It'll make a flat top layer over the skin that isn't printable. You can just remove it by rubbing your fingers then.

Perhaps a stupid question, but if the prints are taken when applying for a passport, wouldn't you need an accurate print to link you to your passport when passing customs?

I get visions of a red light lighting up and a buzzer sounding, followed by a visit to a little room and a long argument with a bored looking guy in uniform to convince him that you really are the owner of your passport.

Sounds like a way to attract more attention rather than less.

as of today no one has a copy of my finger prints. i would like to keep it this way

FYI:

The next generation of passports are going to be biometrically secure by retina-scan, and plans are underway to scan ALL airport passengers, including domestic, in the next few years.

As technology spreads, avoiding the system is going to become all but impossible anywhere in the world. :sad:

thats fine, i can severly mutilate them with crazy glue when i get them taken (it fills in the cracks somewhat) and i can burn the hell outta them otherwise.

theyll grow back in a few weeks, and ill have a set that dosent match what is on file.

No place issueing a passport is gonna let a bullshit print go unnoticed anyway.It seems you gave up on this venture nearly 3 years ago though.I bet you were printed as a kid anyway and just cant remember.Your fucked zippoz.They have you!

eh, i went legit a long time ago, so its not really an issue of security, but of a protest to the fact that they will have this much information on any given person.

im opposed to national id's too which would probably be incorporated with a passport at a later date anyways.
