While I certainly understand your desire to not have your fingerprints on record, imagine the following.

You're in another country and you get arrested or have an accident. Your prints are checked, either to identify you or at least verify who you are. Your real prints do not match the prints on your passport and you are charged with having a false passport, or if you somehow figure out how to use someone elses fingerprints and they do medical record checks based on those and incorrect treatment (allergies to medicines comes to mind) is given.

Now you are in jail or dead.

It seems like you must be up to something pretty important to have the need to remove your prints, like luvdemshrooms said you could be seriously screwed if they figure out your game.

Hang on, i jus thought of something, use some sort of gauze/wire mesh, heat it up shit loads and press it on your fingers. They will be covered in a lattice which may well obscure the fingerprints enough. If you think this might work dont worry it doesnt hurt that much but it sure does make your fingertips go crazy, especially the type they use in science labs to heat a container over a bunsen flame.

no im just an extreemely parinoid person.

furthermore i do not like the idea of being catalouged. did you know that in the us there is a national dna databasee being formed?
its only a matter of time before they try and do the same thing with our prints. i am allready a number (my ss nuber) and i like to think that i am more than that.

these are my prints and noone else has them, they are origonal to me and ill be damned if i am going to let some fuckers put them in a database.

also who knows maybee one day ill be comitting crimes where i dont want to have my prints on record, maybee not, i just want to have the option.

You may find this interesting. It seems that trying to smudge your prints won't work if they use this type of technologfy....

Fingerprint scanner
I've read that these scanners won't take the scan until the software is satisfied your finger is still and the print is clear.

Why couldnt you buy some latex like they use for special effects makup, make a little mold of either someone elses finger or maybe make a fake one,or even buy one of those rubberhands and make a mold of that, then after the latex sets remove just the tip and place the section with the fingerprint over your own, using whatever the adhesive is that they use for masks ect...the latex is very thin and can be made to match color wise so chances are no one would notice. You could save the "set" you make and use them whenever needed.

Now this sounds iffy to me, but i read something somewhere a while ago about regularly (3 tmes daily) rubbing down your prints with 120grit sandpaper. Apparently it causes repeated minor abbrasions to the dermal surface causing microscopic and entirely random scarring. The idea is that the damage is so small and continuous that you never build up a heavy layer of scar tissue, so that the skin continues to regenerate, but your prints are always changing slightly. This requires a certain amount of dedication and i doubt it would alter you prints entirely but it doesn't sound totally bogus, and i dont think it would take too too much alteration to throw them off the trail.

Hold that sander.

Here is an easy way to eliminate your prints.

I discovered this in chem lab. I was doing whatever gay experiment they had planned and was pouring some HCl from something to another. I didn't used to like wearing gloves, so I didn't have any on. After pouring the HCl some of it ran down the side of the flask as liquids always tend to do. Then I grabbed the flask and moved it. I noticed a slight feeling of wetness and realized that it was from 12M HCl, so I quickly went to wash off my hands. Later I realized that my prints had been burned off because I couldn't grab anything! My fingertips were smooth and felt weird and had no traction. This lasted a week or two.

So it's easy to burn your prints off. Just get a very thin film of HCl (muriatic acid) on a piece of glass and lightly put your fingertips to it. 12M is about 10 times stronger than anything you'll find at the hardware store, so you might leave it on your tips for a couple minutes, then wash off. Prints gone!!

The problem is though when you go to get printed what are they going to say when your fingers just leave a solid black spot? I'm sure you could give them any number of bullshit excuses, maybe even the lab story I told you, but I think it might make them suspicious. Plus, even if they do buy it what are the next step of the process people going to think? They can't run solid black blobs through the database so they will probably have a lot more questions for you.

You could probably pull it off because just because they can't get decent prints from you is no reason to deny you a passport. But, maybe they will just go to your birth certificate and use those.

You probably didn't think of that did you? Everyone's been printed at birth, so they can always get your prints. Even your toe prints! But I agree that there is an advantage to not having your prints in the database. The problem is that you have to avoid being printed for life. If you do a crime and they take prints, those prints hang around in the database. If you are ever printed at a later date your prints will come up as a match to previous crimes.

soak your fingers in pineapple juice each night

painless and effective

wouldn't reccommend doing it over a long period though, is probably bad for your skin

Got drunk one night, real drunk and was showing off for a group of cute girls, dared anyone to try and hold onto the metal garbage bin which was containing a mondo fire...10 seconds or somthing. No one did, but I did...and the next day, my prints were gone on both hands and every finger...they felt oddly smooth and annoyed the hell out of me, no pain or scaring at all. There back now, this was atleast 5 years ago...

If any option seems reasonable, it would be to keep your original finger prints and then after having them copied, do any number of the 'methods" presented here, so they will change after. There's really no need to be paranoid about it though, unless your into lucrative operations...Tis Tis.
