Anybody know where I can buy some? What I'm talking about is jars with injection sites that you just rub down with alcohol, insert the needle, pull out and the site closes back up immediately. I've seen these once before, but haven't been able to find them ever since.

Make them yourself.
What are you using them for?
Here is how I make grain lids: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5934690/an/0/page/0
still working on uploading all of the pictures for it.
Use RTV or vacutainer tops.

I'm wanting to use them for both PF jars and LC's. What is RTV, however?
Also, the ones on mycomedia.com are totally what I was looking for, but if I can make 'em...well then. Do I need to say more? However, I'm wondering if I'm too lazy to make and may just go ahead and buy a few...

RTV is a high temp silicone sealant, it can withstand PCing

If applied thickly, and given a day or more to properly cure first before PC'ing, the RTV glob will self-seal through several 18G needle punctures. After that, the probability of positive self sealing declines rapidly. But, they are easy to remove, and replace.
Along the same lines, I did some durability tests on premium grade serum septa ports, used for USP grade injectable medication vials, and small bottles.
I was slightly shocked to find that their durability, when pierced 8 or 9 times, with an 18G needle is no longer insured. I used a vacuum pump, and gauge to determine that.
Further investigation revealed that the great majority of serum septa ports are designed for use with much smaller gauge needles, than 18G needles standard here.
They are also designed for much small volume containers, than LC's use. Meaning, fewer piercing, and aspiration of much smaller volumes of fluid.
They are still practical, because after 6 or 7 uses. You simply pop them out, and replace them with new ones.
All this led me on the search for a super daddy injection port that would withstand a minimum of 50 or 60 PC'ings, and piercing with an 18G needle, and retain its self sealing integrity.
Tada....
