The Who. They were considered THE biggest band in the world for years, and deservedly so. Download Baba O'Riley (teenage wasteland) for starters.
Lot of good stuff from "Tommy", too. Sally Simpson is an oft overlooked goodie from Tommy.
Try Deep Purple's "Farmer's Daughter" from the Fireball album. Then get "From the Beginning" by Emerson Lake and Palmer. Jethro Tull's "Wond'ring Aloud" from Aqualung. Alice Cooper -- "The Ballad of Dwight Fry". Steppenwolf's "Hey Lawdy Mama". Janis Joplin, "Try (just a little bit harder)".
Edgar Winter -- "Frankenstein". Golden Earring, "Radar Love". Cream, "White Room". Jefferson Airplane, "White Rabbit". Strawbs, "Autumn". Rumpelstiltskin "Squadron Leader Johnson".
That ought to keep you busy for a while.

I was thinking that the other day, i think i'd of suited the 60's.
I grew up in the 80's, besides us all being weirdos they were cool too.
