bluethumbs compost grow bags

About to test out 5 bluethumb compost grow bags. I have a read a few posts on the myco bags, but was wondering if shaking the bags is beneficial half way through colonization or should you just let them colonize without shaking them up by themselves? Also, when innoculating, should I just poke the needle through a tiny bit and the spores drop on the compost, or should they be injected into the middle of the compost, deep in the bag?
When you tape them back up, do you tape an alcohol soaked cotton ball over the hole, or jut a normal piece of tape?

shaking the bags when they're about 30-50% colonized is a good way to distribute mycelium. and yes just plain tape over the hole, good luck and be sure to post some pics and your results!

The compost bags have a small pouch of rye you inject the spores into the rye about 1 cc and then when the rye colonizes you pour it on top of the compost and put them some where dark when they are cfully colonized, birth them
