Torrid.. that sounds exactly like my first salvia trip/breakthrough. Like exactly the same.

I was in my room on my bed, 3 friends were sitting on my couch, and I took a big ole hit off of a makeshift bong thing. I held it in for as long as I could, then I get a blank spot in my memory. The next thing I remember is being completely confounded. I couldn't understand anything. I forgot who/what I was, but still had a sense of self. Like you said, I totally couldn't understand anything around me.. my friends said I had a look of utmost confusion on my face.

As I looked around me.. it was exactly as you describe.. segmented shapes of color, except the pattern I was part of consisted of triangles, not blocks. I tried to look at my friends and comprehend what they were, but essentially each of their faces made up part of the base of a triangle, and the triangles all formed a 2-D pattern. Soon this 2-D pattern was the only thing that was familiar to me.

Although the only thing I knew was this 2-D pattern, it still felt foreign to me, causing the whole experience to be rather uncomfortable and scary. Another thing I'd like to mention is that the 2-D pattern felt really repetitious.. like.. even though I should not have felt movement, considering I was only part of a 2-D pattern, I did feel movement, and I commonly felt that I was stuck in the same movement, over and over and over again. In the other 2 times I've smoked salvia, again I got this repititious feeling, to the extent that sometimes I felt paralyzed, unable to actually sit up or move, because when I'd try to do something like sit up, I'd feel as if I slightly sit up, sit up, sit up, sit up, like rapidly over and over again, but never actually getting anywhere.

Back to the first trip, as I came down, things began to come back to me, and I began to realize who I was again, but it was like I had to relearn it all. I had to remind myself that I was familiar with myself and that I knew all of my friends. Also, I was terrified of the window, because my bed sits right next to it, and although I wasn't really in danger of falling out, I still felt terrified of falling.

Okay.. this was rather long, but yeah Torrid.. totally a similar experience.

I guess you could read 1000 reports of experiences and miss the fact that most people do in fact feel like they can't understand anything, that the universe is composed of weird blobs of interactive color, and that it ends with mergeing back to this reality.

Each person can add their own twists and interps and may let go more or less, and may be more or less astonished with the details and the totality, but that seems to be it - you been there!

yea thats the crazy shit when you feel like your geting up but our not and its like an echo of movement. i dont recall felling like that but it seems so famliyer. trips up

at a cerin point salvia begins to splinter everything apart.
this usaly happens to me if i do just enuf to almost break through.
walls begin to shift into rigid formless patterns.
the mind begins to pull away from the body
i always get the idead of a ripping sensation when i actualy break thorugh. its as if the door broke off a plane and you where just sucked the fuck out
swoosh!

The last time i smoked salvia was probably over a year ago and i had enough for two bowls left so i could breakthrough. Before i could smoke the second bowl the cabin i was in turned into a train station and i felt a really ominious feeling brooding over me so i ended up deciding to not smoke the second. I'd like to try it again before this summer is over.
