Tell me about your favorite kinds of hand drums. I have a Djembe that I like, but I desire a little more boom, I think.

Djembe's come in many shapes and sizes. If you want one with more BOOM.. I suggest you get one with a larger radius head and that is somewhat taller.

I might go that route... but I am also interested in other sounds and styles.

I have a small Djembe, but my brother has a Mobley Signature REMO djembe, and it's quite large. you pound on the middle of that sucker and you get some BOOM.

I have a pair of congas, they're great mind you I think my djembe has more "boom" than the congas, mind you it's also a very big djembe :cool:

Peacefulness.

P.S another drum that I have heard about having an amazingly full sound (boom) is a doumbek. Mind you I don't own one nor have I ever heard one.

I have a set of tablas.Although they are not very loud,they have a wonderful sound.

thanks, i'll see what i can pull out of that. got any other drums? :grin:

im looking for some djembe samples as well as some snare/hihat/open hihat/cymbal samples
