I'm skipping this tour, I really don't like the Fancy Band and cannot handle Gabby LaLa for the fifth time.
but have fun.

I thought about making the trip to Hedgepeth for Primus, but there really aren't any other bands I'd like to see the whole weekend and I really can't justify it for a 90 minute set at the most.
I've already traveled cross country for Primus once, and it'll be awhile before I do it again.

the show was thundering les is truly one of my most respected artists. his vision and focus are mind blowing. and as a bass player myself i draw on him for alot of my own insperation he opened with rumble of the diesel one of my favorite tracks of the new album. he also did an amazingly intense calling kyle. jay lane and whats his name (xylophone dude ) pulled some crazy shit out durring there little drum intelude. then les's roady came out with a pig mask holding the whamola. he just stood there holding it and operating the bendy part of it while les danced around him in his monkey mask smaking that thing like a mad man. its good to see him mix up the whamola. gabby lala was ok. i really cant say much bad about her. she just kinda chills in the back and noodles around it seems, but she did have more than one moment of intense energy. skerik rocked hard core. i love how he always seems to be having the time of his life. dancing around, playing with his sax and whatnot. another kick ass highlight was when les broke out the bass banjo and played john the fisherman on it solo. that was fucking mindbending he closed with filipino ray. another new favorite. all and all, an amazing experianse.
after we left the show me pantsboy and our freind headed out to try and find a place to stay.this is where the adventure began pretty much. around 2 oclock we parked the car on the side of the road and hiked into a big redwood forest in the upper part of the UCSC campus. very far away from the actual school. we set up camp. smoked some bus and drank booze we got from a guy with no teeth till the early hours of the morning. as the sun started to light up the mist redwoods we crawled into our sleeping bags and called it a night. probly one of the only truly fun times i have had when drunk. good shit my freinds good shit all around
