"The Mindbender is the world's largest indoor triple loop roller coaster. It is located in Galaxyland Amusement Park, a major attraction inside West Edmonton Mall, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Galaxyland is the largest indoor amusement park in the world, and West Edmonton Mall is the largest mall in North America.

The ride's layout features many twisting drops, a double loop, a single loop, and a finishing helix, or horizontal loop. The G-force on the ride is very intense, and many people blackout briefly after the second loop. The ride twists underneath, in between and around its supports. It also goes underneath the "UFO Maze" during the helix.

Often in high season, the last car on one of the trains is reversed, allowing guests to ride the roller coaster without being able to see where they are going."

I know there are many rollercoasters around the world that are probably 10 times bigger/faster/nastier, but what makes this so unique is how crammed in the track is.  It's very intense.  I've rode it twice and plan to ride it a third in a couple weeks.  I'm a big puss when it comes to rides like this :tongue:  This rollercoaster is actually the only one I've been on in my life.

Anyone else ride this rollercoaster?

I think I rode it when I was there, The Edmonton Mall is awesome! Took us 2 days to see it all.

Looks pretty cool. I have ridden a lot of roller coasters and so far I have only found one that truly didn't agree with me.

When I was at the West Edmonton mall I didn't get to go on it because it was still closed from people dying on it.

I haven't taken a ride on it but I've been to the mall and watched my dad. It's the only time I've seen him go on a roller coaster, he was drunk so that made it funny. From the angle that picture is taken it looks a lot more closed in than I remember.

Wow, i knew you were older than me, but damn! :tongue:  hehe I kid.

That was june 1986 when that happened.  It was down for 7 months.  3 people were killed, one paralyzed.

I wouldn't have gone on it anyway because I was scared.

Yea, I would of been 2 at that time.

I remember going there when I was 7ish or so, and I was deathly afraid of it.  I was a very small kid, so I wouldn't of been able to ride it anyway.

In the middle, I don't know if you remember but you can walk across a pathway right in the middle of the roller coaster track(big loops going right around the walkway), they now have a very intense "virtual" roller coaster.  It is very cool :thumbup:
