Neat! I like the teeth.

I only took one semester of sculpture in college, so please explain to me about the "cold cast stone" process. Is it similar to lost-wax bronze, but with a different casting ingredient? How do you cast stone? Is it a special synthetic stone material? Inquiring minds want to know...

cold cast stone is simply a powdered stone material with gypsum in which you add a certain amount of water, mix and let cure. as a chemical reaction occurs the "stone" heats up and evaporates the water out. this leaves a solid piece of "stone" that is very hard and heavy.

you would first sculpt the piece out of clay , then make a silicone or latex mold. then cast the stone.
