I'm pretty sure the largeness of one's country has no bearing on how they perform in a particular sport.

More people to pull a team together.
Footballs alright, im not a massive fan but i usually follow the world cup.

I enjoy watching the USA play a sport their generally terrible at.

They might come back yet, lol

I'd like to think we stand a chance, we didn't play well in our last game tho. Typical brits blamed it on the heat " arrgh, its too sunny "

The ref was giving out yellow cards because the team was drinking water too often.

I think all the hate towards america these days (for very good reasons) will play a part in its team's loss. If I was playing for the Czech Republic or any other team for that matter, I would play my absolute best just to KICK their ASS. Of course this would only partially be the reason, the USA does not embrace football nearly as much as most of the world does today.

I didn't like how England played their last game either. They shouldn't play long ball, instead go for the quick 1 touch pases. It's probably Beckham's fault.

I pick Brazil to win the world cup. As long as Rolandiho is healthy and playing his best ball, it's hard to vote against them.
