So um, we're advertising on Fark.com now?

I'm cruising my favorite news site (It's not news, it's.........Fark.com)

and over in the corner something catches my eye

"The world's largest magic mushroom site. Your parents wish they had this back in the day"

I'm sure this has been discussed to death, but I don't know how I feel about it. On one hand, hell yeah to promoting the spread of good information, but on the other hand, I kind of liked it when the shroomery was a little more mysterious.

What's next?

I was just at Fark too...I'll have to check it out. That kinda sucks if it's true.

This place is always going to get tons of advertising on its own, just being in search engine results. People that have the interest, will search and find it. It's amazingly easy to find while searching for mushroom related stuff.

I refreshed the site a lot of times and couldn't find the ad.

If it were true it would be really lame that the shroomery operaters are using supporter and ad money to place their own ads. This site should be found by people with an interest in learning more about psychedelics, and they can find it through google.

Considering that that the Shroomery is the 3rd google result for "magic mushrooms" and the first for "shrooms" (at least on my datacenter), we're hardly "mysterious".

I saw it, so how did it get on Fark, could any of the mods please explain this or ask an admin.
