my friend would like to know what the hell is up with cambodians? are they just slow to fruit or what? he has a coupla cakes of them and and 2 casings. the cakes have a coupla pins and the casings have two groups of pin sets numbering maybe 8-10 per group. he knows most of these will abort, most likely, but how long do they normally take to get to a pretty decent size and how large should he expect them to get? on his casings he just used straight verm, which he will never probably do again, and the terranium is at 95% RH and 71 degrees. if you have had good results with them can you please post and let us know what he is doing wrong. oh yeah, the cambos are going on its 3rd week.

Don't know bro,
My Cambodians started fruiting 4 days after i birthed them.
I do inject 10 cc of sterile water into my cakes at birth.
I just put 3 more Cambodian cakes in my fruiting chamber tonight.
Since i am waiting for my hydro pod.....i wanted to put them in that to try it out.
Anyway.....i'm not sure why yours are so slow.
I'll let you know when these start to fruit.
My Cambodian cakes i keep in a fruiting chamber, that temp is 73 to 75 degrees.
Humidity is up to 98 %.
My second flush off my first Cambodians started 2 days after i dunked them.
I haven't tryed to case Cambodians yet..... In a couple more days i will case some.
So i can't help you with cased Cambodians......yet.

Straight Verm is fine as a casing - not the best (coco coir imo) but not too bad either.
Sometimes they just take longer than other times - ive found this with the same strains - Lipa yai second time round fruited very quickly, whereas the first time they were slowish.

Hey,
I had three casings with the cambodian strain, they all pinned after about a week of being cased with only a little light .
Cambodians love heat, mine were at 85 deg F for the first flush .
You might wanna incease the temperature to at least 75 .
Should take about five days from pins to fully mature shrooms .
Are you sure there getting enough light for pinning ?
I have pictures in the picture forum of of my first flush .
Also dont let them overlay .

my friend has lotsa rhizmo, and no overlay yet, so thats good. thanks for the advice guys, ill have him raise the temp by 5 degrees and we will see what happens. and as far as light is concerned, they have a desk lamp for light. ill get some pix from him later to post. he is going to also try cambos again, next time though when he cases he's going to do 50/50 looks likes it works better because his lipa casings have nice even pin sets, not too many pins, and not to little amountof pins.

got the temp up to 76 degrees and now those cambos are taking off! thanx for the advice!
