have (you ever thought) you met or know your soulmate?
    #5543791 -

i think i have.
shes the most beautiful gurl ive ever known,
& this is how we met.
i was at a rave, highly fucked up.
this gurl, as we were passing eachother, stops me,
and says "hey...whats your name?"
usually i would just say '40oz' to ravers, but i
knew instantly she was something different.
so i say "Chris"...whats your name?"
she says "my names Rachel....remember me"
then she walks away.

usually i would have forgotten her name or anyone elses
name the minute after, givin the etardness, but i remembered.

months & months later, i hadnt seen her.
until this rave, i was yet again fucked up,
outside in the smoking area. i look over & i see her.
i stand up & yell "RACHEL!!!!"
she looks over and yells "CHRIS!!!!"

she remembered too!

we sat down & chatted for the first time.
she tells me she had seen me at previous parties before
she came up & introduced herself to me,
but was always too timid to approach me.

here we are, years later still friends,
best friends even.
we live about an hour away.,
we have our own lives to tend to,
but maybe something will come of it, someday.
even tho, we arent 'together',
we still compliment eachothers life
& thats what matters most to me.

lastnight, she spontaneously dropped by my work,
i snuck out, we went to my car where i played
a couple Tool tracks from their new cd
while we smoked a cig.
Tool is her all time favorite band,
so i gave her the copy of the cd
& she surprised me by giving me 2 xannie bars.

i had to go back to work, so i gave her a hug,
& as she walked away, she said 'i love you'
& i replied, 'i love you too'

ive only heard that phrase once before from her
& we were both on e, so this time, sober,
it was something that left me glowing.

Sounds nice, you keep it going. If something more is suppost to happen it will in time.

I believe in fate bringing people together for a reason.

(I thought Tool's new CD won't come out till May!?)

But on subject, yeah. Soulmates kick ass. I still remember how my fianc? and I met and the kind of giddy puppy love feelings at the time. We're still very much in love. I really hope everything works out for you.

Do you want to be just friends with this girl or do you want more?

If you want more, I am unsure if it would be able to happen as you have been in the "friends zone" for so long.

I guess what I was trying to say was if you have been friendly for so many years and nothing has happened, do you think something could happen now?  I've never seen such an occurrence.  Either a romantic relationship happens kind of quickly or it never happens in my experience.

Not to rain on your parade though.   Good luck.  Is this the girl with the dark hair that I've seen in some of your pictures?  If it is she's freakin' hot!

I've experienced somethin like that. I went on a cruise two years ago. For anyone who has never been on a cruise, the first day you get your lifejackets and do a drill incase the ship goes down. The lifejacket you get has a number on it that is supposed to be the number of your cabin. Well I look at mine and it doesn't match. So I tell some dude that was workin this thing and went searchin for my life jacket. He came back with this beautiful girl wearin my life jacket. After that we spent the whole week together.
One night we were out on the front deck completely alone just lookin at the stars...and out of nowhere this huge meteor shower started. That moment will always live with me. But after that week I never saw her again.
