If I send someone a message, with a read-reciept...all they have to do is view the preview of the message, and delete it...and I won't know if they read it or not.

Sorry but the increased usability trumps the problem with read receipts. It would be possible to send a receipt when the preview popped up, but I'd rather leave people the option not to do so.

I don't think the mouse over pop up preview should be usd in the pm's...
its just a rude way to avoid people.

Bad traders use the feature so the person that they are avoiding doesn't get a reciept telling them that the pm was read.

I have seen this tactic used by several bad traders in the marketplace...they abuse this feature.

If you are having a problem with someone in a trade and they aren't responding to your pm's...
look and see when the last time they logged into the shroomery was.
You will pretty much know if they are avoiding you if they logged on recently.
They are probably using the pop up pm feature to avoid dealing with you.

If they are "Invisible"...their "Last Seen on:" info does not show up in their profiles.

So, unless they post something...you don't know when they've been online.

I noticed that the feature has recently stopped working for me completely, both in PM's and on the forums. Any idea why? I have it enabled in my display settings. Is there an upgrade or bug fix or something taking place?

It doesn't work for me when I'm onion routing. Are you going through a bunch of proxies or anything like that?

Yes, I have Tor...but I've tried browsing with it disabled...and the message previews still don't work. Is it likely that having Tor, or Privoxy installed is the cause of my problem?
