I haven't been this excited over The Cup Playoffs in a long time.

Teams I want to see make it far: Rangers, Sens, Hurricanes, Sabres, Ducks, Wings, Predators, and the Oil baby.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the way the center of the universe Leafs have floundered this season.

Yarry I don't know how on earth you can cheer for the flames, they are tied with the current incarnation of the Minnesota wild and the cup finalist Florida panthers for MOST BORING TEAM EVA!

theyre canadian and i have a friend or two out that way. and frankly they were DAMN exciting against the lightning in the playoffs last year, all good games! Havnt seen em play this year tho

I think the canes match up great with the sens. They play the same style of offensive game just with more depth and more pop in their strides.

If they meet I think the Canes will take em in no more then five

A typical anti-flames fan.

Listen Flames hockey is hard hitting, fast and intense hockey. The flames out-skate/hit most of the teams in the league. Our only weakspot is our lack of a powerful offense but to say we are boring?? lol

I'm assuming you live in Edmonton and you just automatically say shit like this cause you can't be a serious hockey fan to acknowledge an exciting team to watch.

Even I, whom can't stand the Oilers (I'm in Calgary) can admit they are a fun team to watch when they aren't horribly inconsistant.

I have NHL Center Ice and I watch way too many hockey games and to compare the flames to horribly bad defensive teams is a joke.

There is a reason why the flames were so well adopted by all of Canada last play off run. The team is intense, hard working, hard hitting, fast, and tons of fun to watch.

Not one serious hockey journalist would call the Flames boring to watch.

I used to goto 75% of the Flames in the mid to late 80's and I'll say none of those playoff runs had the intensity of the last seaons run.

Umm were you informed of the new league rules? See there was this lockout, and then changes made to stop clutch/grab.

So obviously, my point stands, Edmonton's way of hating Calgary now since we are higher in the standings is to call us boring.

Not sure if you noticed by broadcasters, hockey insiders, all call Calgary a fast team. We use speed to check, forecheck and keep a 4 line pressure system that very few teams can handle.

Its cool though, I know what the Flames are and they are a damn fun team to watch if you enjoy, speed, hard hitting hockey.

I know the rule changes, and I watch at how leniently they are applied down low. They are clutch, grab, trapmasters.

Shit the only reason I hate them is because I can't stand watching them, it has little to do with geography and more to do with style.
Hell, during their mini renaissance of the late 80's they played some damn fun hockey. More power to Calgary that are succcessful at it and more power to the Flames fans for being able to watch it.

I'm not so sure I'd call a 1-2-2 forecheck a pressure system.
