hi all. i was wondering if hydor airo aeraror, as seen here(http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT<>prd_id=845524441809668&FOLDER<>folder_id=2534374302030044&ASSORTMENT<>ast_id=2534374302023693&bmUID=1143809997888&itemNo=15&Nao=12&In=Fish&N=2030044&Ne=2) PetSmart - Hydor airo turbo aquarium aerators[/url] ) would work similiar to a bubble wand nd airpump. this product uses a concept in aquarium air pumps. please give me your input nd thoughts on this. thankz

i cannot see the pick or link on your post, but the air pump is definately interesting. how are you planning on using a pump of that shape? personally, i like the flexable bubble wands, i get 48" wands for 7 or 8 bucks... didn't see a price on that hydor.
but if you are putting the pump in a automated pmp or something of that nature, it seems it would be too tall to fit on the bottom and you'd only have one location where the fae is occuring. in comparison, the bubble wands have a larger surface area that more evenly distributes the fae.
if using it in a tub of water in a larger fruiting chamber underneath the shelves for humidity and fae would be a bit more feasable, depending on the price. hope my $.02 helped

i was also thinking about how the shape of it would work. the air pump i have currently is kind of noisey and it mentioned the hydors were silent, and about $20. anyone know of any SILENT air pumps which are reasonable easy to find or have any good ideas on silencing an existing air pump? any help is great help. thanks

my air pump was about $6 with 2 air/tube ports and it is not noisy at all.

yeah i mean its not that noisy but it is noticible. i want to make it as stealth as possible. anyway to soundproof it in maybe a box? although i suppose the air pump needs somewhat open space right?
