How could a living organism that has never experienced sight, evolve the ability to see? Somehow, in the beginning, creatures figgured out that if you developed a mechanism to catch photons bouncing off of objects you could determine what they "looked" like. But to a creature that has never seen, the ability of sight would be like an entirely new dimension. How could a simple life form even conceive of this?
And not just one life form, but the majority of life on earth no matter what the species.
