the Seattle shooting

I don't really have a lot of connections with the rave scene, having embarked on most of my psychedelic journeys post adolescent confusion. So Saturday when I checked the news and read about the shooting (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/264678_shootfolo29.html) I had little reaction. Bad shit happens, and worrying doesn't help.
Jeremy was an artist and a very brilliantly humerous individual. He'd fit in right at home at the Shroomery, on your couch or the playa. He played a creative role in forming and sustaining Seattle's counterculture evil clown movement, which will never be the same without him. Some people go their whole life without an original thought, Jeremy would probably have 5 on any particular day (and forget 4).
Jeremy personally was not more familiar to me than any friend of a friend, some others were such friends but I never had their impression. It did affect people more familiar to me than I expected for what seemed like a distant tragedy on Saturday.
The shooting was tragic and there is a lot of confusion in Seattle right now, but its strange I also hear a careful voice coming out of the storm of articles and editorials and personal discussions. There's no radical solution to prevent such tragedies, and there is no blame to place, there is only need to be responsible and have compassion.

I knew Melissa, one of the victims, a little myself. 'Tis so depressing when people you know die...and the way they all died does not help matter.
Anyways, do you have the names off all the victims? I know the names of 5, but I'm not sure who the last is. I just want to know if I knew this person as well.

yeah it's pretty unfortunate... I read one article on Yahoo news and the Chief Police from Seattle was really cool about not turning it into a drug issue. He said something to the effect of "he has a minor history, but it's non-violent" and didn't mention anything about past drug use of the killer.
it's pretty tragic. I just hope everyone gets back on their feet soon enough

yeah, i dont know about the current cheif of police up here in seattle, but the old one was pro legalization ( ). when i went to hempfest last summer, he had written an article in the hempfest brochure thing about how we need to not worry about drugs and focus on other thing, which i thought was pretty cool.
but yeah it is really sad, i live in this area so its buzzin around. a tragedy
