So, Right now, In nashville, they are having their version of SXSW, which is called Tin Pan South. Basically just a bunch of singer songwriters playing all the songs they have sold over the years.

The cool thing, is that I just did sound for the guy who wrote the song 867-5309, as well as played with Huey Lewis and wrote many of those songs.

Kind of weird hearing the very original versions of all these songs.

Wow that is cool. However, I've heard that song so many times that merely seeing the digits "867-5309" is enough to get the song stuck in my head, as it is now :crankey:

It's very cool that you're able to meet those people, I wonder what they're like now that they've had their 15 minutes of fame?

oh, well, songwriters arent famous, except in Nashville.

They are almost always very chill and humble people and usually you find out who they are once you have been sitting next to them at the bar for a while.

I actually called that number not too long ago and I found out that it's a local number (Panama City Beach, FL). I was drunk so I don't really remember what I said to her, but it was hilarious. I bet she's gotten tons of calls.
