Losing Weight

I have been losing some weight lately and I changed my diet a lot. I only need to lose about 10lbs to be at a comfortable weight for me (135lbs) and I have lost about 5lbs in the past 3 weeks. Anyway, I know a lot of people trying to lose weight have problems and I have a hard time finding diets that work well for me. I noticed that a high protien diet helps me loose lots of weight. Things packed with high protien such as peanuts (unsalted) fill me up quickly. So, rather than having a bag of chips or something I will pop a few peanuts in my mouth every now and then and it keeps my stomach full (or at least feeling full). Anyway, I was just letting you all know how I am loosing weight because I know how hard it can be and I havent seen any diet like mine on the net or in magazines. Of course, it only works with a steady work out as well.

I am 5ft6in. Im trying to get down to 135lbs, I am not at it right now. I usually get down to about 125-135 over summer when im surfing and swimming all the time so it will probably happen anyway. Im just trying to get a routine so that I can maintain my weight throughout the rest of the year. Between last summer and now I have gained about 20lbs that is noticable in my physical appearance. I just dont want to be comfortable with a gun or anything. I agree though I shouldnt be trying to lose weight at 135, but it is within my healthy weight range considering my age, height, and build.

Go out and have more fun and eat healthy. If being healthy isn't something you can enjoy, then my personal opinion is that there are more problems than an extra 10 pounds.
Really, an extra ten pounds shouldn't make too much difference unless you're obsessing. It sounds to me like your problem isn't phsyical.

I am not obsessing over my weight. I just rather feel comfortable about myself and look good (by my standards). I really made this post because its a diet that is working for me and maybe someone else may want to try it. Believe me, 10lbs on me is noticable to me and if I can get rid of it to look my best I will. Now, if I gain 10lbs of muscle its different because muscle and fat look completely different.

Don't worry about dropping 10 lbs. Wrestlers do it all the time and most will agree that 10 lbs makes a huge difference in the game and their physique. Try to gain it back with muscle and good luck man!

Why don't you just get a gym membership and start working out? No matter the goal, you're bound to shed fat and gain muscle as long as you don't overwork yourself.

That's only half of it. A WELL balanced diet is also the benefactor.
I'm sure you could eat a big mac an hour before the gym everyday...and gain muscle and lose a little fat if you work out long enough. But who would want to? Sounds delicious though.
Memberships cost mucho money. I would rather put that 200 dollars that would've went to a year's worth of gym privileges, and buy something useful. Like a 200 sweater. Those are the shit.

I have equipment at home I use. I hope it doesnt sound like I am ONLY dieting. Im excercising and working out as well at home. I actually dont like the gym because of all the dudes that go there to show off. My strategy is a combination of dieting and working out. I just listed the dieting part because excercise is a no brainer.

Wow. Just wow. I misread your post entirely.
It sounds like a good idea, now that I understand what you're saying.

Couldn't agree with you more.
From the first post I read, I gathered that he knows where it's at. High protein diets are FILLING! Whew. I used to hardly be able to drink a whole protein shake lol. Food and diets should be simple. I think you're on the right path, but only you know your body. Working out and eating properly will certainly go a long way for anyone. Your body will learn to build muscle to keep up with constant hypertrophy, use energy efficiently and have a steady metabolism, etc. I'd say keep it up.
I wish I had better equipment at home too. Fortunately, I work out at a college so it's only $100 every 6 months. A gym in town that was recently upgraded by new owners charge twice the rates I'm paying, but I might be able to swing a deal hopefully.
If you did go to a gym and worked out properly without sniping equipment, I don't think you'll have any problems with jackasses. I feel the most comfortable at a gym when I've gone there for a few weeks. Granted I always have headphones on, I can still nod and converse with the regular gym rats and they're all nice. Any time you see someone needing a spot, go ask if they want to do a couple extra reps. A few courteous acts and you'll be respected forever. It's the boners that work out their chest and biceps 4 times a week that you just walk past and avoid. They don't stick around for very long though. Either that or maybe it's just because we're silly Canadians, we don't tolerate that shit. lol

I've seen something like this around. All sorts of different nuts work. Pin, almonds(the best IMO) peanut, You name it. I've been doing that along with this other diet I'm trying. Thanks for sharing this info!!
