my rabbit died tonight.

his name was Crouton. he was so cute. he had problems though ... like being a hermaphrodite. i don't think his body knew what to do with itself. he never got very big even though his siblings were huge.

it's gonna be sad going out to play with the rabbits and not having him around. i was very attached to him. he gave me little bunny kisses all the time which was the cutest thing ever. he would lick my face like a dog. such an ultra cute rabbit. rabbits are cute in general, but Crouton was ultra cute cos he was so small.


Crouton, i will miss you so much. i'm glad that you are in a better place now though, where you don't have to worry about getting picked on for being kinda retarded. i love you, Crouton. :heart:

yeah, losing your best friends (pets) is the hardest.

i have a theory though. it's that when you die, all your family and loved ones (pets included) great you on the other side. it's more of a hope really, but it would be nice.

I wouldn't consider my rabbits fragile...

they are insane... they jump 4 feet onto the counters and then jump off... they run high speed around the apartment and then crash into the heaters cause they can't see too well...

They are built to last.

yeah they are.

they don't handle stress well at all. i've have a few die of heart attacks.
i have one that is tough as nails though. he's been through a dog attack and a gnarly infection that almost took his life, but he's still with me. i will have to get pics of him when the sun comes up. the oldest rabbit we have, too.


they do have some crazy regenerative powers though.

i've held just about all of mine since they were born. they come running to me and absolutely love to be picked up and cuddled. i will definitely have to take pictures.

also, i'm sure if a dog started chasing/trying to tear your bunnies appart, they would die of sheer shock. they are resilient, but high stress situations can cause them to die very easily. it's sad. :frown:
