On that TA-3 test I scored 117

Ofcourse I'd have liked to score higher, but even if I had, I'd say that test is no good.

It requires knowledge which never was part of my education. Never in my education have I been told that the Raataataa Thesis relates to the Rootootoo dimensionality. If I never have been exposed to these manmade concepts then I cannot deduce them.

Being presented with problems and your ability to solve them with the materials present on the page makes an IQ test. If it involves previous knowledge of manmade entities it only tests the quality of your education and your ability to retain it.

I just pressed random buttons on such questions, knowing who of the six wasnt a UN Secretary General won't help me retrieve a key that fell through a grate using only materials present in the immediate surroundings :wink:

I'm saying that the standard of intelligence here on the Shroomery seems to be much higher than among the general public. Didn't mean to sound arrogant, but I'm just rather unimpressed with the general public.

haha...I took that test and apparently I have "superior intelligence" with a score of 133.

IQ tests are designed to keep the masses thinking they're smart and perceptive, when in reality most people are stupid. Or the experts just don't really know what really makes up intelligence. I usually find that people who believe they are super intelligent are the exact opposite.

IQ tests are basically just ego stroking devices for conceited people.

I can't bring myself to know my intelligence level. I already have a suspicion of what it is and to know for sure would slide the knife in further for a complete lobotomy.

I'd rather be ignorant of my unimpressive brain capacity.

But to all the smartie's out there...you rock. Nothing is more attractive then an intelligent mind.

To those who said just guessing; remember the Matrix? You are supposed to feel and just do, not think. I scored much better on the test when I wasn't thinking, just going on pure instinct. When I tried to make a logical explanation of the tests, I got much lower score.

To use the mind is one thing, to question your mind is another.

i was disappointed with my 125. i got probably all of the general knowledge, maths, logic ones but probably a random quarter of the picture ones - i was getting to 90 seconds and then guessing anyway on several, so i just zapped randomly through the last ten or whatever.

that test is mean - i can't believe that spatial symmetry and such are such a major factor of intelligence .... but maybe that's why i only got a 125 :rofl2:

Honestly, I would consider the whole spatial symmetry thing to be more a measure of intuition than intelligence.
