Just a common sense FYI for the low budget newbies. If your frugal, have the time & inclination. A trip to the local GoodWill, Salvation Army and/or any other thrift type stores can net you a Pressure cooker or 3 or 6 for very few dollars. If you don't find one there, leave your name & number & ask them to call you when one comes in. Another source for the frugal is used restaurant supply stores. You can find huge ones there. The ones on the shabby side of town more often than not have much lower prices. Another place to wander through are any Wacky Wally type or similar silly named goverment agency, or army surplus stores. Never know what you might find usefull (bunson burners, alcohol lamps, huge specimen jars) & very cheap. Years ago, wanting to build a hepa filter, a guy I know went looking for a squirrel cage fan. Found one attached to a big hepa filter. Way bigger than he wanted. But, you know how it is. The guy wanted $10 for the fan. $25 for the whole thing. Can't beat that. As for used PC's, If they don't have the instruction books. Since most are a name brand, you can get the instructions for them from the manufactor. Or, simply test them. Some require differing type ring gaskets. Those can be had, if you call around. Some have gauges. Those are simple to find & replace. Remember though, A PC can get dangrious if you get silly or stupid. Another thing, if your looking for something big to house your large Sterlite or similar tubs in, that you can lock (or not). Used office supply stores often have huge metal wall lockers, filing cabinets or wall cabinets for cheap. Now for those with a clean room (or dreaming). You can also find all sorts of Stainless steel metal racks, shelving & the like at used store fixture places. Or, stores going out of business. If you live in town or the suburbs, peaple ask lots of funny questions when you roll into your driveway, pulling a gas operated hay/chopper behind your pick up truck full of hay bales, LOL. A lot can be done on less, if you are patient & plan. Pretty soon your farming. SixTango - out

I always check the local thrift stores. If I ever wanted more 1/2 pint jars I could go there and pick up some 1/2 pint tapered drinking cups for $0.10 each and use tin-foil as a lid. However, I dont think I ever need too, but you guys should always check the thrift(ish) shops!
