it's just a little sore at the moment (got it done yesterday). They don't really hurt too much after the first week or two. The piercing itself.. doesn't hurt too bad. I think the kneading/pinching of the skin around it hurts more than the needle going through. It all really depends on how you handle pain. When i got them done i just think of the experience as a new sensation that i hadn't got to experience before. Halfway through the first piercing the needle lost the link with the barbell.. so he had to just fish this bar with a right-angle end through my arm and turn it out of the hole. That still didn't really hurt too terribly but again I'm a glutton for these things.

That is a lite-brite in my avatar.

And no watches! i've never been able to wear one comfortably. There's something about bracelets and watches that bug me so i can't really wear them too often.

i have the back of my neck pierced twice.. (nape/madison piercing)...

i really like the look w/ my tattoos and other piercings in my ears.

Have you seen the barbell's with disc's on them? Those things look superb i must say. I think that my next ones will be with the discs. Probably neck as well. Are yours vertical/horizontal on your neck? How'd they heal up? I'm trying to come up with something to get done next and im thinking either that or i'll play with my ears (these are my first piercings that i've ever had...minus a horizontal on my arm that i did myself) and get some industrial bars in both of em. I think i've found a new hobby! hehe

mine are horizontal..

mine healed up pretty well.. they had some issues at various points after being caught on headphone cords, tags, shirt collars, etc, etc.. but, i take really good care of them and generally heal well... so, they have been in for almost a year now. most people's reject at some point, but all the piercists i've seen say that mine look like they will stay.

i also have the conch piercing in both of my ears done w/ an 8ga.. i really like them, but they hurt a bit. i wear hollow tubes now, but had them done w/ straight barbells that got caught on everything... and they take a while to heal.

i recommend the ears before the nape, personally...

Yeah, those definately healed up nice. horizontally on my arms didn't heal up very nicely in the least bit. Too much bending and p ullingon the skin in that area for me :\ i like the vertical look better tho so im crossing my fingers on this one! hehe
