Coca Leaves?
    #5249718 -

Hello, I am looking for first hand accounts or information on the use of fresh Coca leaves. What is your normal dose, dried or fresh? How would you make a tea? I have heard that chewing on them makes your mouth and toung very very sore becasue it is so acidic. How would you eliminate this effect? Also, how many leaves would you have to theoreticly eat to OD?

Just looking for some opinions and first hand accounts of this powerful plant.

Peace,
Chapter24

A "normal" dose would be enough leaves to make a nice quid which fits nicelt into your mouth, between your cheek and teeth. You might like to wet the quid though before putting it into your mouth. Next step is to add some edible lime (which is the substance that might make your mouth sore) so that the alkaloids would activate. Now you just suck on the quid until there is no more taste in it. Your mouth and throat will get numb from this material, but I think there is no much of a chance of getting an overdose.

It doesn't really do much unless you have altitude sickness. There's lots of threads about this here in TEG. Do a search please. You might find some sexy info.

I have had the pleasure of getting to drink Trimate a few times. The taste reminded me of chamomile and it gave me the clearest most focused energization I've ever had. I would love to have the chance to grow this plant.

ive chewed coca leaves many times and drank coca tea many times. im native to bolivia. i live in the states but i go visit home all the time. i just stuff the leaves in my mouth and suck until my belly is numb. The people around there have some little brown thing you bite and chew with the leaves which accelerates the process, i have no idea what it is. personally i dont like chewing the leaves, its a bunch of work for not much result.

however i do love the tea, tastes great and works well. and trust me i had to drink a lot of it while in la paz at 12000ft. anyways, a bunch of leaves is good, maybe 15-30 fresh or dry. stale/over dry leaves take a while and dont work as well. put the leaves in a cup, add boiling water, and stir until the tea is a nice shade of yellow-green, add sugar to taste. you can actually purchase coca tea legally, ive brought packs of it over.
hope this helped.

you can't legally buy it in the states, though you might get away with it.

the brown thing is llipta, a blend of ashes & crushed shells (very alkaline)...
a quick & easy way is to stir a couple teaspoons of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) intosome water& toss in ahandfull of dried leaves (or teabags) & soak for 10 minutes or so & then just take a little roll-up of 15 to 20 leaves & just suck on 'em (try not to chew) for 10 -15 minutes; repeat as needed...
(for alkalinizing agent ya could use washing soda, garden lime, i dunno...)

MOD EDIT: sources!

i'm gonna go get me a quid o' tea of coca (pre-moistened withbaking soda sol'n) right now, mmm?

laterz, y'all...

Are the fresh leaves normally acidic? My freind chewed some the other night and his mouth feels all burned three days later. Maybe he should dry them first... Anyone else get this?

Isn't baking soda very caustic to the mucous membranes in the mouth?

I'm not talking about the leaves mixed with the baking soda, Im talking about just plain fresh leaves. Maybe the tree that I found is a strange variety...
