WoW I am feinding bad

Over Christmas break I downloaded World of Warcraft for the free trial. I had some time off from work, family was in town but generally I was a WoW addict the 5 ot 6 days until I uninstalled the game.

Well last weekend, it hit me. I had to play it again. The characters, the missions. It was a three hour download. It was three hellish hours. The download failed. Somehow, I had an empty file. So much for the better, its not a good way to spend my time. I was 'lucky'.

So this weekend hits. I went out last night, figured I'd stay in this night. Was reading, figured I'd run the download. The craving is fully back, that part between the ribcage and stomach is tingling again. Its a 3 hour download, wretched. Then there is an update, another hour. Finally ready, but first I must buy usage time. My credit card is out, I'm ready to run a line straight to the vein.

Well guess what? You can't buy a startup key online. I have to go to a store. None are open now. Wretched. All addictions, when released, have withdrawal symptons. I was just going to play it a bit tonight, then go back and not be a total addict. Now I'm casing out when the mall opens and have killed 4 hours without playing a single mission.

Congrats, you are an addict. The first step to breaking addiction is admitting you have a problem.

Your local community center may have support groups for helping you quit.

Feel free to ask friends and family to support you throughout this ordeal.

Yep! Slippy is actually in all the starfox games, even the super nintendo one, but that particular image is from Starfox 64.

I might just go play some starfox 64 downstairs right now.  :heart: my nintendo 64

WoW fucked up my roommate's life. He became a dirty hermit, and missed finals. Never slept, never came out of the room. Get away while you still can. Take up smoking... shoot some smack--but stay away from that game.

I'm not kidding.

I fell into the whole World this past summer, such a waste of time. It all gets to be the same shit in the end anyhow, farm some instances and battlegrounds.
I stopped riding my bike, reading books, writing, checking the Shroomery, things that meant alot to me. My roommate still plays, its all that he does other than work, as a matter of fact he is playing right now. I used to justify my playing 10 hours a day with, its fun and it makes me happy, but in reality it was hurting me. I would eat shit food cause I didn't want to cook, slept as little as possible because I wanted to play as much as I could.
Since quiting things in life have gotten better for me, I'm back to doing the things that matter to me and I feel happy and healthy. Maybe it was just my lack of self control that turned me into an addict but at any rate that game was like crack to me. Just my 2 cents :sun:

Then, hours later, I'd come in drunk and find him still there, in the same position.  I'd pass out, and wake up, and he'd still be sitting there playing.  unreal.

Is WOW really that addictive? I find it hard to believe that a video game could so take over someone's life.

People in my guild are addicted HARD CORE. One kid says he has dropped out of school and barly works enough to survive and play wow.

Sad.

i dunno.

We rapde 7pm a few weeknights a week. Ill play on weeknights to raid. Its fun, but i sitll go out on the weekends.

I picked it up at 12:30, just half an hour after I'd woke up. I played for 12 hours Sunday. Its like you don't even need to plan to do that.

I think I have a plan to take over the world.
