I'll tell you what, you send me a packet of brewer's yeast and a small bottle of honey, and I will send you back some mead.

I use a recipie which calls for you to add a little lemon zest, lemon juice, and ground cinammon to the must prior to boiling, which steeps in the solution until you decant.

I make a "fast mead", which is decent, but which isn't as tasty as a slow mead. A slow mead, however, can take well over a year to be ready for drinking. A fast mead is about a 3-week endeavor.

I'll just upload a simple recipie from the 'net.

This is the recipie I started with, it got me interested in mead.

It's really not a hard beverage to make, as long as you pay attention to detail and are meticolous about doing things right. Oh, and sterility is k3y.

just just out doing the wondering drinking thing,haha,the stopped by Road Atlanta for a while just to be there...


i got an idea for a little story? book? thing?...haha...

gonna call it "The Racer"..the life of a (le mans)racer in the late 50's early 60's...ad the fiery but never fulfilling off-track live,romances,etc,etc...

I was digging around in the pantry looking for yeast, and I found that I have a whole 1L bottle of Karo corn syrup.

I'm going to dilute that in water and ferment it, then toss it in an Oliver Still and see about making some really cheap booze for some really cheap friends.
