crystals

i used to meditate with crystals years ago, then went into a phase of dismissing crystals, until last night when i once again used them as a meditation aid, wow what an experience i once had forgotten, i went into lucid dreaming which seemed ages but only woke up an hour and half later. feeling really refreshed and alive again. anybody else use crystals for meditation aids or such?

so how do you go by meditating with crystals? i have heard about it before but never how it was actually done

just place it here where ever you you think is appropriate, or before meditation hold the crystal/s and say an affirmation that what you would like to acheive, (healing, sublte energy boost ect)

I don't get it. You hear the stuff I talk about. I'm all over the place. Every other spirituality meta-physical forum I have participated in has a profound appreciation for crystals. Almost all of my spiritual friends off the shroomery do.

I just havn't gotten into them and yet, I'm into all the rest of it. I don't get it.

One girl on another board, was finding a bunch of Rose quartz in her back yard. She lives in Atlanta. She sent me some to feel out. I ended up taking them out of my house. Those things were tainted with some nasty vibe I didn't want around me. I'm not denying they have some capacitiy to store information. Crystal chips are being used in computers now because of their amazing capacity to store information.

I know there is info out there about cleaning and clearing them and how to recharge them and store info in them for yourself.

Something in me, intuitively is saying, "NO" about working with them. I don't know why.

I sit and wonder, was I one of those nuts who negatively charged them in a past life? The stories I could tell. Is that why I have an aversion for them now. Was I screwed up using them in a past life by one that was messed with and is that why I have an aversion to them now?

I feel like, all things considered, I should have a working appreciation for them and I can't reason why I don't. Crystals are beautiful. I love looking at them. I'm not knocking using them at all either. I'm wondering what my personal aversion to them is all about. It's a mental block and what is causing the block in me? Wish I could figure it out.

See if you can insight it into me spudamore. Send it in PM if you want too. Because of the block, I can't seem to insight this one for myself.

Maybe I just fear their potential power. maybe I don't want to become dependant on material objects for energy work. I enjoy reading about how others use them. They're interesting. Thanks for sharing!

i think that crystal stuff is fake. its just some new age flakey bull shit lie portrayed by flakey new aged sensationalists.

the only thing magical to those things is probably the feeling of reassurance. and im sure some how thats benefited some one and they misinterpreted it for super natural.

maybe its preference, there are things i don't accept and can't force myself to test out.

what i find funny is that some people use them all the time for energy healing relying on things other themselve to heal. its ok once in a while as i found out again last night, the energy didn't seem to be there not as intense as the night before.

yeah, i know it is. but, then again, there would be no mysticism or radical spiritualists if it werent for people like me who question and disown things like this. i wont completly dismiss it though. my cousin claimed it worked to help her through her cancer. then again, it could of been khemo and all the meds. so i have plenty of reason to question it, just as one man has reason to question the exsistence of god. there really is no definite answer to "enigmas" like these, but i do raise a good point if you see what im saying.

exactly, if you want to debate crystal use, do it in P&S. If you want to negate anything and everything out there on crystals- do it in P&S.

This forum was designed with the STARTING premise that such things of a mystical, religious, paranormal are a part of our experiential reality.

Negating them here is a waste of everyones time. For people still in doubt, they can talk each other out of everything with ration and logic in P&S. It's pretty easy to do. Just do what you did and call everyone nuts and return to your ignorance on the subject.

By the way, what exactly were you questioning about crystals here? Sounded to me like you already know everything there is to know about them and how they have been used through the centuries.

Got news for you buddy, science is now using silicon based crystals to store memory in computers. The ancients just beat them to it.

I read in OTD almost every time I come here. Some of those guys are hilarious.

I agree with you, his post wasn't offensive- it was useless to the topic discussion. Spudamore started a topic about using crystals in meditation and the kid came along and trashed on people who work with crystals and left.

WTF?

Like spudamore said- read the rules, the negation of others beliefs will NOT be tolerated. I can speak for aaron and myself and say we don't care if no one understand the power of crystals or why people work with them.  Why post that you don't here? How is that helping the discussion?

The whole point of this forum was for believers to have a place to share in positive discussion about experiences they are having. There was too much negative dumping going on in S&P and people just gave up bothering posting on the more personal or sensitive material. We thought we might be able to pull off such a place with this forum.

For some reason, some people can't seem to control themselves from bashing, criticizing and mocking others. They have nothing to contribute but cynicism and negativity. There are other forums to dump that garbage into. People just asked to have one forum free of it for the sake of peace, respect and harmony. is that to much to ask for or for people to handle when they come here?

If you have a wild hair up your arse, post in OTD or P&S where I do when I'm feeling awnry.  How shitty to come here tonight and find that reply dumping negative garbage in spudamores sincere, open and honest post.

As usually, our discussion moved into PMs. I do my best to realize that even though some are 18, they have a lot of maturing yet to do. If that isn't the case, they may be able to read the forum rules, but don't understand them or choose to ignore them like an admin did twice recently.

This forum will die if this negation skeptical baloney starts to seed itself in a grow here. People will just go back to not posting certain stuff or sharing in PMs.

If anyone feels like maybe they just don't quite grasp what some members wanted this forum for, maybe they should just read here and see and get a feel for it before diving in with a bad attitude towards anything they refuse to understand

My apologies for being awnry here. Spud busted my block and the anger of ancient times towards people who destroy beautiful things is purging more of itself.

Anyone can destroy things-it's no special feat to in need of being proven in here.
