has anyone submitted any poems to poetry.com?? cause i did, and yesterday i got a letter saying im a semi-finalist n shit and also they are gonna publish my poem. is this some kind of scam??
they also said you could buy the book it would be published in for outrageous prices.... maybe its a trick but not a scam, as in publishing your work but charging damn lot for the book.
will the book ever really come out?? :confused:
its like my shits getin published but i cant get the actual book... wtf!

Bull Shit.  I've been offered the same book, they even provided an ISBN number.  At the time, I worked at Barnes and Nobles so I looked up the ISBN number, it came back as an INVALID ISBN.  HAHA, idiots.. Anyway, yea, it's a bunch of nonsense, don't give those fucks your hard earned loot, if you want, send it to me, pm me and I'll give you mailing instructions as well as prefered methods of payment.  in 6-8 months, I'll send you your own personal printed copy of your poem, complete with page number and your name on the bottom, on glossy paper.  I only charge 50.00 USD for this service.

Just kidding :smile:  BUt yea, it's a bunch of bs, don't listen to their shit.

pretty much everyone who submits a poem to these companies will be published in a book that they put out. And then they sell these books only to those who were published.

It means nothing. Just a way to sell books.
