Dude...you should have seen the place I was in on Saturday. Most of the windows were broken and boarded up. In the bathroom there was a dangerous looking black mold covering the entire ceiling. In the dry parts of the floor you would stick to it. In the wet parts of the floor there was a soup of mud, melted snow, beer, and vomit.

I could never get over the concept of paying for friends. That, and most frat kids that I was associated with through mutual friends sucked. The whole hazing is so ridiculous. I can see hazing as a right of intitiation for something that actually means something and that isn't based on someone choosing what greek letters look the coolest.

Frat parties suck.
You guys frat party stories sound a lot like my friends house after high school, minus the frat.
That sucked.
Constantly drunk people sharing/destroying a house together. Seeing who can be the most belligerant and create the most drama. Every night was a movie. Fuck frats. Fuck anything based on alcohol-fueled idiocy.

Strangely enough, I was in HS when I attended the aforementioned frat party. Maybe that's why it seemed so esciting and all......

I ended up going to one and being the only person who had weed for sale..I had to make a trip back to my house and brought back a few ounces..They were sucking up to me so much and told me how cool I was for bringing weed..I couldn't help thinking what fucking losers would throw a party and not have enough pot to supply..I left with some girl who I watched break up with her boy friend.. That part of the night was good.. I think fraternitys are for guys who have trouble getting laid cause most of those guys had no game at all..

I went to a frat party once when i was sixteen, I had a good time, started playing a drinking game i made up with some people at the party, then after awhle I realized that everyone who was playing passed out and I was still standing.

It was at this point that I realized it was probobly not a good idea for me to join a fraternity if I could allready drink them under the table at sixteen.

Interesting.

These types of parties were going on constantly in undergrad (except they usually had several hundred people. Most frats had 60 some people in them to begin with).

Greek life was never my thing but it definetly had a purpose. All the fraternities had enormous, old school mansions so they could house all the members. When you get 60-70 people all investing money and energy simply to have a party you end up with wild nights.

I'll go against the current and defend some fraternities since they're not all the same. I've met the assholes, and I've met some heros who were in frats. Sure they can be stereotyped...so can black people.

Me and a buddy made "Fuck the Frat Boys" shirts in Greek lettering in our third year it was awesome.

Frats and ridiculous, paying for friends is ridiculous and the lengths of their hazing is ridiculous.

When I played hockey our hazing consisted of repeated shotguns and and quality time with some spanish guy named Jose.
