Anybody ever been to a frat party?

I went to one on Saturday.  This fraternity owns two houses side by side.  One is the "living house" and the other is the "party house".  The party house is disgusting and it should probably be condemned.

There were easily over one hundred people in that house last night.  The basement is a dance floor complete with spinning lights, a DJ booth, and a bar.  The basement is also disgusting (it is wet, moldy, and dark).

The party last night was the swearing in party for the pledges.  The pledges had gone through six weeks of hazing and Saturday night was the night that they became brothers.  The older brothers cut the music and started yelling at everybody to shut up.  Of course, with seventy drunk people in a basement that is twenty by twenty feet, it is going to be impossible to get everything completely quiet.  The pledges (who were all completely drunk) pulled down their pants and had cold beer poured over their asses.  They were then paddled with a paddle that had Greek lettering all over it.  People were cheering and screaming...it was fucking nuts and bizarre. 

I also may add that I got absolutely no play at all!  :sad:  The only girl I talked to very much was a lesbian.  :lol:  The girls seemed to only hang on the brothers.  In the rural areas of my state there aren't many good looking people (the college town I was in draws most of its students from small rural towns).  Let me say that I am no Brad Pitt myself....but some of these brothers were very unattractive; I mean 2's on a 1-10 scale.  Yet, they had hot girls on them.  It was nuts to see some guy who was hideous with some fine ass girl all over him.

I should have pledged a frat when I was in college.

Craziest party I ever went to was at a frat house. Much beer was drunk and drugs were taken/smoked, a bunch of rowdy bikers showed up, and I was sick for a week afterwards (Does MD20/20 mix with anything??). All in all, a great success! :laugh:

That whole frat scene just makes me want to vomit. I am definitly glad I didn't join one, it would have been the worst mistake of my life. I already have enough athority figures...

Man...this place was fucking CRAZY. I can't even describe what it was like. I've never been to a party like that.

Every New Years they throw TV's off of the roof of the house.

Yeah, I see what you mean. That definately is not my kind of thing now that I think about it. I just am not the kind of person who wants to party every night. Maybe once every couple of weeks or so is ok. I couldn't handle being around a hundred people every night.

There were some fine women there though. But, they were all taken. You should have seen how horny the guys were. I could have gone in there with a wig and a skirt on and they would have tried to hit on me. I saw so many cock-blocks it was nuts.

Haha, thats a given.  Seems like a big soap opera type thing to me.  A soap opera where everyone gets drunk all the time.  If you stopped drinking and you lived in-house, I can't imagine how fun that would be... :rolleyes:

I should note that we ended up at some other house at six in the morning. I went to sleep and woke up at 9 AM to some girl screaming about having two hundred dollars stolen from her. She was running around yelling and crying. As "the guy that nobody knew", I quite possibly could have been considered the prime suspect so my friend and I left at 9:30 AM.

I was talking to a guy that lives there and he said that something is stolen from that house every weekend.

You know what sucks?  As I woke up I looked over and there was this decent looking punk-rock girl on the sofa across the room.  She looked over at me and saw my Misfits shirt and I could tell she was digging me.  But alas, she had some horny guy trying to stake claim to her (lying on the couch with her with his hand on her leg and shit).  :mad2:

I should have engaged in some cock-blocking.  Everybody else was doing it.

Two of my best friends are in a frat...it's a comical scene, really.  Pretty similar to what you described, too.  I'm not really a frat kinda guy tho :shrug:

Although I can see why they'd be appealing (as far as the binge drinking and such...not one for ass paddling, really.)

I've been to a few frat parties, they're fucking stupid. I've only been inside one frat house, a friend knew someone there, and it was the most unsavory place I've ever seen. Huge holes knocked into the drywall, garbage, chips and beer covering the floor. It was the most horrid, odious place one could imagine.

I don't think I could stand being like that, I have a very low tolerance for drunken immature retartery.

Hell, I dont even like going to bars/pubs, espically the popular college ones. YECK, so not my scene.

my ideal crowd? after-hours venue, 5am, just after the "peak of the night", all the light weights go and just the hard heads left till 8am (or later) dancing their assess off like their lives depended on it.

Haha the first frat party I went to I got thrown out of. We drank alot of the beer around then went out into a back corner of the yard by ourselves and lit up a little blunt. Someone saw us, told the frat boys and they bitched at us and kicked us out.

I thought so too, I couldn't believe people would willingly live in conditions like that. It was pretty much a failed attempt at communal living, no one takes responsibility for anything and as a result the entire place was rotting and falling apart.

last time i went to a frat party i got thrown out for wearing girl pant and having black hair. Then they all called me emo which is totally wack.
