Todays forecast, you wonder? Look at this:

Damaging winds are likely through this afternoon with west winds of 35 to 45 mph...gusting to more than 60 mph. A wind gust of 60 mph had already occurred at Tatum shortly after 9 AM mst. For this reason...a high wind warning is in effect through 5 PM cst /4 PM mst/. Areas of blowing dust can be expected. Travelers should be very cautious traveling across the area today...particularly on north- south roads. Fire concerns will increase in the late afternoon due to a combination of high winds and low relative humidities...prompting issuance of a red Flag warning for the late afternoon hours. Weather conditions will provide conditions favorable for rapid fire growth and spread.


WELL NO SHIT!! The damn wind just launched half my carport, un-shingled my dog houses, screwed up the satellite dish, bent an old arial antennae on the house sideways, and is kicking up a dust storm so bad you can't see 20 feet out the windows of the house!!! I also had to go to Wal-hell this morning, and got my new car SANDBLASTED for free... there's enough dust in my hair right now to fill a sandbox. THIS BLOWS, LITERALLY!!!  :mad2:

Go outside and play.  Get a skateboard/roller blades and a towel(I would use something like a bogie board) for a sail.  I bet you could get the fuck going :thumbup:

I have a 3M sail kite for a mountain board.... but i'd be scared of using it in 60 mph gusts.... fuck that.  :cuckoo:

Dude, I'm dumb, but I'm not stupid. I've had my share of road rash already..... and no way that I'm fruit booting witha 3M sail. It's hard enough witha mountain board MADE for that application in 10-15 mph wind. You'd be suicidal to try hanging onto a kite in this weather.

Plus, I just saw some guy get blown over in a port o john (read other thread "i laughed so hard my face went numb").... and on top of all that my house has sustained some damage (some fucking expensive damage) from all this wind... and it's still blowing just as hard at 6:25pm as it was when I woke up at 6:30 this morning.... AND I have to keep the dogs inside too, because they aren't enjoying the wind either, and they're attention hounds, so you HAVE to pay attention to them or they pester you to death... and they steal my food when I ain't looking. :/
