Non confidence??

I was just wondering if there is an option in the US to voice a non confidence motion to overthrow the government.. In Canada when your approval rating is below the majority all it takes is a non confidence vote in parlaiment for the government to be deemed unfit to run.. Now if our government can be overthrown over 5 million dollars gone missing it surprizes me that it doesn't happen to you guys as it seems Bushes approval rating is lower than our Liberal government which is about to be brought down by force??

The US federal government has a system of checks and balances between the three branches of government (judicial, legislative and executive). Congress can stop funding the war, but doesn't. Congress can impeach the president. The president can veto bills from Congress. The Supreme court can declare laws passed by Congress as unconstitutional, etc.

Citizens can get together and do referendums and recalls, too.
