The difference is that Maruchan is better, and Top Ramen contains about 5x the salt and MSG.

Maruchan has an overall better flavor, and I like the noodles better for some reason.

Top Ramen is a little more savory, rather than straight up salty like Maruchan, but they still aren't as good.

I usually can't eat just one package, so I like to have one of each mixed together.

I don't use the flavor packets 'cause they have MSG's in there. I just load up those noodles with soy sauce and the world is right.
A noodle is a noodle unless it's organic, then it's waaay more expensive.
BTW, this is my first post.

my method, is breaking it in half, at the fold, by prying the end apart, then (occasionaly) add some seasame oil to the BOILING WATER. Then cook till it starts to break apart, scoop out with fork, then cook next package in the same water. Then, after you get both packs in the bowl, pour both pack's over the noodles, then pour a small amount of the water from the pan over, just enough to disolve it... stir and enjoy.

but the best brand is from whoever makes the roast beef flavor, i havent had it in awhile, but it's hella good.

korean pepper,soy sauce,hot sesamee seed oil,garlic,pepper,ground ginger. those are the best things to add to ramen noodles.Dont use that nasty ass flavor packet.bleh...Oh and crack an egg into the pot while the noodles are boiling...mmmmmmmmmmmmm
