For you ramen connoisseur's

Do any of you notice a difference between Top Ramen by Nissin, and Ramen made my Maruchan?

I dont know what it it the former is much better in my opinion, both the noodles and the flavoring are much more appetizing. Where as the latter I cannot even finish a bite, BLECH. Who wouldve thought there would be such a difference?!

Does anyone else notice it, or am i just nuts

I like Maruchan better personally. - I think it soaks up the flavor more

Even the different seasonings all taste the same to me.  Thats why you add hotsauce to it. :smile:

I drain the noodles completely and then put flavor packet on top and mix it in.

Bah, hell no. I add the water and add the seasonings, but it all tastes the same to me.

ill admit, Ive tried it that way too, and actually kinda liked it, not enough to eat it all.

But i second McKennaFan's method,
straight noodle, no soup

i have a surplus of the maruchan, I wont even eat it I dont like it that much,
But give me the nissin, and its gone
unfortunatly the only place i get that at is the 7/11 around here and they do a damn good job of ripping you off...
39 cents a pack! what theives!!! ha ha

Yall know jack about ramen, im a true ramen connoisseur. You want good spicy ramen thatll do the same to ur stomache as the other junk u been eating, find ur nearest asian market and take any bag of noodles thats red and has an egg on the label. Most of them are in english so no worries on how to cook it, but im pretty sure u college folk would enjoy havin that instead of the unsatisfying cup noodle stuff.

I don't remember how I ended up there, but there exists a site wholly about ramen...

The site referred to this as "freebase ramen"... breaking up the noodles, pouring in the seasoning, then shaking it up and eating it. I thought it was decent with the creamy chicken flavor, although its probably pretty salty with standard chicken or oriental...

btw: I prefer Maruchan
