it's hand drums.. djembes, doumbeks, congas, ashikos, tamas..etc.. bring one if ya got one.. come anyway if ya dont..
all acoustic musical instruments are recommended.

This park is one of the newest in VA and pretty secluded.. on ze historic James River..

We need some more fire dancing pixies and groovinators
The more the merrier!

Couldn't imagine a better place to be. Other than on a sandy beach somewhere in the South Pacific.  I've always wanted to visit Virginia.  Heard its beautiful there. :peace:

don't get me wrong that is better than the woods down the street from here but i mean nice forest woods not park woods with manufactured walkways. so no not completely gross... but i like building fires... maybe they let you build fires in parks in va

those walkways are pretty much the most developed parts.. its 1500 acres with 20 miles of trails and primitive camping with no water except at three pump stations. And yeah fires are permitted in da backwoods.. except in shenendoah.. damned tourists. But this park is surrounded by mountains and more state parks and state forests.. nothing but damn trees and rivers and the ocassional small town and farms

I wouldn't camp somewhere where I couldn't have a fire. Especially not a drum gathering. BONFIRE! :hellfire:

sweet! good deal then... not so gross afterall...
it's pretty close to you? we should have taken you to the sipsey while you we here. it's good stuff. i guess it is really bankhead national forest (black warrior wildlife management area) and the sipsey wilderness. it's nice. lots of purdy.
