I see "knotting" , question: optimum temps/hum. for this stage

I kept the temps and humidity high for the first 4 days, whereupon I started lowering the temps in my aquarium in the room, after someone told me to in the last thread.

Here are my uncertainties,

Temps maintain about 80F inside the container and it always feels very humid.

1. Should I continue to mist adding moisture?

2. should I keep a lid on the aquarium?

3. these knotting little trees I see, are these showing me a sign that my colony is ready to pin? if so what am I doing wrong if anything.

4.do I continue to fan 3 or so times per day untill I see growth and then stop or do they need O2 daily?

I see extensive growth of the mycellium network and I see little tree-like knots, I believe I read about someone calling these "knots" , they don't have any color where the cap should be yet. I think I have my mycellium network in a state of confusion.

I have been reading and reading here and will continue to do so, but I need to ask these questions

1) yes, but lightly and from a distance.
2) yes, but refer to 4
3) yes the pins will form out of these knots. maybe you should lower the temp to around 75.
4) yes and even more if you can. co2 buildup will stunt growth in a manner of speaking. optimal fresh air exchanges should be around 1-3 per hour.

casings or cakes? casings: once you reach the pinning stage the rH should be dropped down into the 85-90% range. cakes you can keep the humidity up there in the 95-100% range.

Casings,I used grain.I put down a layer or vermic/humas-compost 60 to 40 on the bottom of the aquarium, then I shook the fully inoculated jar(it was a big enough jar to hold grain up to the 1500ml mark),spread it on top of the bottom layer, and then I made the mistake of adding some to the top of the grain. Now I have no growth where I put the nutrients on top.I went in with a sterile glove and tried to remove some of it(not the grain the top layer I should not have added)but I was afraid I would mess things up so I have left it be. There is good growth around the sides though. I have some climbing the glass.Unfortunetely I don't have a rH meter, only one of those ones that hang from the wall,one that has a spring in it. I could take it apart from the frame, sterylize it, and put it in there somehow.What do you guys normally use for guaging you rH?
